A classic, iconic release, launched in 1993. Aged for 12 years in refill American oak casks before finishing in first fill European oak Oloroso sherry butts. A nose of honey, subtle spice & nuttiness. A sweet palate of oaky vanilla, subtle baking spice, nuts & dried fruit.

TASTING NOTES:
On the nose it is gristy, supple nuttiness intertwined with spices. Honeyed sultanas and grapes. Hugely inviting. On the palate the whisky is sweet with good body. The bourbon characters develop; gentle spice with a little vanilla, a hint of balancing peat lurking quietly in the substrata. Dried fruit too, combining with nuts, nutmeg, cinnamon, back into the bourbon notes - so well integrated. The finish is spicy, slightly drying, still sweet.
